There's something soulful about functionality.
I am acquainted with HTML - to an extent.
My recent frustration with UX/UI in all these ready-to-use sites led me to this.
I want to start from scratch, know my ins and outs.
I don't want to impose nor be imposed upon.
Though to be honest, I don't like how the capital letters are displayed here.
(can be tackled, through css, which I am still learning more about.)
I don't want to sound weak nor overtly emotional about my passions.
I have a lot of opinions, the result of being leant more towards intolerance
- possibly to the point of personification.
Some call it being sensitive. <<- (I hate how bratty this sentence sounds, very uncool. For it implies a certain temperament)
I like the thesaurus, I like all the concept of antonyms, synonyms, etc. Semantics.
I like the apple built-in dictionary.
To be deemed pretentious hurts, because it implies that your performance was seen through.
(implying a performance that isn't good - so sad!)
Worse case is when the prentention they see is your real self, stripped naked.
Like one of those common nightmares. You pour from your cup, without any hidden agenda,
they view it with ... what's the proper word for cringe (disgust?)
I've been battling for years with the concept of "for the sake of it"
eg. beauty for the sake of it
As a lover of functionality, I feel betrayed by such thoughts.
What do you mean it is without function
What I considered to be function extends to creating an emotional response,
and therefore in that sense, art is functional.
